Dunzo! 2017 Out, 2018 In!

We made it. Sometimes it looked like it was going to be close...world blowing up or some other catastrophic event. But we're resilient and that's especially true of everyone here at the Placitas Cafe. Come in and say howdy so we can wish you a most Happy New Year!!

On Friday January 5th, 6 to 8 pm. Ancient Bones will be performing. You'll dig them. Get it? Bones. Never mind.

On Tuesday January 9th, 6 to 8 pm. Dee will be performing.





Friday January 12th,  Haiku Cowboys will be performing from 6 to 8 pm. Their foot stomping desert rock will have you on your feet...steel-toed boots optional.




On Friday January 19th, 6 to 8 pm. The Grove will be performing.  Time to groove with the grove.


On Tuesday January 23rd, 6 to 8 pm. John Souesy will be performing.  

Friday January 26th, Amistar. 6 to 8 pm. Let AMISTAR rock you into the weekend with their feel-good, variety band sound. Featuring your favorite songs from every decade.



On Tuesday, January 30th, Jerry's In the Way will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. Get out of the way and let the man play.

Almost at the Finish Line

As 2017 winds down (and that's putting it gently cuz this was a crazy year), it's a good time to remember how the Placitas Cafe fits into our charming little outpost here at the foot of the Sandias. This is the meet and greet center of our little universe and I'm feeling lucky that I can say that. Come down and see your friends, listen to some LIVE music and enjoy the food and libations. On Friday, December 1st, the Old & In The Way will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. They play familiar songs from the 60s-70s- and 80s from lots of genres. They don't look that old but look again -- they are blocking the damn door!  


Tuesday December 5th, Scott the Magnificent will play from 6 to 8 pm. He's a lot more modest than you would think with a name like that.

On Friday, December 8th, Sage will be performing from 6 - 8 pm singing some fine contemporary and traditional music along with a bit of country and light rock.





On Friday, December 15th, RockZonE will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. If you don't fall for their music, you must not be in the zone.





On Tuesday, December 19th, Jerry's In the Way will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. Here's another chance to satisfy your curiosity. We can't tell you any more than that.

Down the Home Stretch

This crazy year, and we do mean crazy is heading down the home stretch. Who knows if 2018 will be any better, but the thinking is it can't get any worse. The thing is, when you're in the Cafe, nothing can make your day go bad. Between the food and the libations, it's all good here.

Water Over the Arroyo and Down the Rio Grande

It sure seemed like September was wetter than usual...some folks were calling it a monlate instead of a monsoon, but the good news is that everything (and everyone) in the Cafe is high and dry (and you can take that whatever way you want).
