So Long 2014, Hello 2015

You had us at hello. I mean come on, who doesn't like a chance to wipe the slate clean and start over? It's like Groundhog Day here every day at the Cafe, so we're right at home with the slate-cleaning thing. Or maybe it's short-term memory loss, I can't remember.


On Friday, Jan 2nd, Scott's Band will be performing from
6 - 8 pm.

On Friday, Jan 9th, the Olde & In The Way will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. They play familiar songs from the 6os-70s-and 80s from lots of genres. They don't look that old but they are blocking the damn door.



 

On Tuesday, Jan 13th, Todd Tijerina will be performing his unique blend of blues, funk, roots-rock and jazz from
6 - 8 pm.

On Friday, Jan 16th, Acoustic DNA will be performing from 6 - 8 pm.

On Friday, Jan 23rd, Bohemian Sol will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. and warm up an otherwise cold night in January. You won't need your mittens and they make it hard to clap anyway.



On Friday, Jan 30th, Judie and Jorge will be performing from 6 - 8 pm.

Enough Sense to Get Out of the Rain?

So the rains have come, but this time it really does feel like "monsoon season" is the right name for it. As much as we like it, it does make sense to come in out of the rain, and what better place is there to do that then the Placitas Cafe?

On Friday, August 1st, RockZonE will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. If you don't fall for their music, you must not be in the zone.






 
On Friday, August 8th, Righteous Men will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. No bibles necessary but bring your tapping toes on down.

On Tuesday, August 12th, Todd Tijerina will be performing his unique blend of blues, funk, roots-rock and jazz from 6 - 8 pm.








On Friday, August 15th, Judy and Jorge will be performing from 6 - 8 pm.




Friday August 22nd, Haiku Cowboys will be performing from 6 to 8 pm. Their sound could be pure poetry if it didn't have to rhyme and be only 3 lines.
 


On Tuesday, August 26th, Ariana will be singing songs while playing the piano (can you do that? how about while chewing gum? I thought so.) from 6 - 8 pm.

On Friday, August 29th, Bohemian Sol will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. and even if it's raining, they bring on the sol.

Big Bang Theory Works Best in July

Hot as a firecracker on a two-lane blacktop. Hotter than a whipped tail lizard on a tin roof. Hotter than a fox in a forest fire (G-rated version). You get the picture? July is hot!! So come down to the Cafe where the AC is free and the living is easy. And we got ICE, so CHILLAX!

Spring Has Nearly Sprung -- Unless It Snows Again

March Madness means one thing to basketball fans, but to New Mexicans it means we get out of the house more often, and that can only mean more Placitas Cafe time. So don't get mad, get even!

On Friday, March 7th, the Red Light Ramblers will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. Lots of bluegrass and old timey music to get your toes tapping.

Circle the Wagons Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Not sure if circling the wagons really conserves body heat, but it works for buffalo and penguins. You can pretty much achieve the same effect if you sit real close together at the Placitas Cafe. I mean REALLY, REALLY CLOSE. Try it!

The Righteous Dudes are appearing at the Cafe on Friday Dec 6th, from 6 to 8 pm. They won't get all biblical on you, so that's one less thing to worry about.





Then on Tuesday, Dec 10th, Nancy D will be singing from 6 - 8 pm.
