Three Lines, No Rhyming

Friday, March 30, from 6 to 8 pm, join us at the Cafe to listen to the Desert Rock of these down home originals. No experience with Japanese poetry is required. Just grab some friends and neighbors and come on down to the Cafe.

The Great Outdoors at the Great Cafe

Warm, sunny days are perfect for lolling (and who doesn't like to loll) around on the outdoor seating at the Placitas Cafe. There's a seat there with your name on it. Actually, it says Placitas Cafe on it, but let's not get bogged down in the details. The point is that the Placitas Cafe is the ideal place to sit and catch up with friends and neighbors while you enjoy the great food and superb coffee. Have two cups...no one will tell.

Sage On Stage

Mark it down....Sage will be performing at the Cafe on Friday, March 23, 6 to 8 pm. She will be singing contemporary and traditional folk music, along with a little bit of country and light rock. A great way to close out the week....grab some friends and meet us all down at the Placitas Cafe this Friday.

And the whirlwind of entertainment continues...just back from their world tour (a world tour in Placitas consists of playing up in the village Saturday nite and then back to the Cafe on Tuesday), Cheap and Easy will rock the house once more on Tuesday, March 20 from 6 to 8 pm. If you have not heard them play, your life is not complete. AND, IT'S PIZZA NIGHT!! Join us for a very fun evening with your neighbors and bring some friends.

Did We Mention the Outdoor Seating?

Okay, it's clear that most people come to the Placitas Cafe for the food and the entertainment, but it's easy to forget what a fantastic view there is right outside our front door. And then there's the outdoor seating area where you can enjoy that great Sandia view and keep your pooch company as well. The sculpture? That's the shaman and don't get me started on how that ended up there...except to say that any friend of the shaman is a friend of mine.

Come on out and enjoy the view while you devour a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. And remember, you'll always have a friend at the Placitas Cafe -- that's just how we roll.

It's a busy week for entertainment at the Cafe...The Casualz will be taking requests as they always do on Tuesday nite, March 13 from 6 - 8 pm. Then on Friday nite, March 16, the Spotted Doggs are bringing their original rock and blues sound to the Cafe, from 6 - 8 pm. If these great bands don't get you tapping your feet, only dynamite will get you moving.

And we're still waiting for you first-timers to come get your FREE buttermilk pie slice. Don't make us come and get you!

Hey, all you Cheap and Easy fans!! That's right YOU! The band will be cranking out their retro eclectic sound (love that new sound system) on Friday, March 9th from 6 to 8 pm. If you have not heard them play before, you are missing out on some talented performers. So come out and support Placitas' own band and enjoy the fine food at the Cafe. And you first-timers have still not come in to get your FREE slice of buttermilk pie. You can only be a first-timer once, but you'll never be a stranger at the Cafe.
