Down the Home Stretch

This crazy year, and we do mean crazy is heading down the home stretch. Who knows if 2018 will be any better, but the thinking is it can't get any worse. The thing is, when you're in the Cafe, nothing can make your day go bad. Between the food and the libations, it's all good here.



On Friday, October 6th, the Old & In The Way will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. They play familiar songs from the 60s-70s- and 80s from lots of genres. They don't look that old but look again -- they are blocking the damn door!  


Tuesday November 3rd, Chillhouse will play from 6 to 8 pm. The house and the Cafe will be rocking.


On Friday November 7th, 6 to 8 pm. Rick H will be performing. 

On Friday November 10th, 6 to 8 pm. 10 to 2 will be performing.


On Tuesday November 14th, 6 to 8 pm. Dons Solo will be performing, but he sounds like more than one.



On Friday November 17th, 6 to 8 pm. Ancient Bones will be performing. You'll dig them. Get it? Bones. Never mind.



On Tuesday, November 28th, Jerry's In the Way will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. Here's another chance to satisfy your curiosity. We can't tell you any more than that.

Water Over the Arroyo and Down the Rio Grande

It sure seemed like September was wetter than usual...some folks were calling it a monlate instead of a monsoon, but the good news is that everything (and everyone) in the Cafe is high and dry (and you can take that whatever way you want).

On Friday, October 20th, RockZonE will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. If you don't fall for their music, you must not be in the zone.





Friday, October 27th, Beg, Borrow or Steal, 6 to 8 pm. will be performing.


Saturday, October 28th, Urban Sage, 10 a.m. will be performing. No pajamas will be permitted.

Summer May Be Winding Down, But The Cafe Is Always Up

Monsoon season was good to us...the drought got the boot. It's time for some of the best weather New Mexico has to offer and there's no better place to catch it all than the Placitas Cafe. John may even have a fresh batch of weird t-shirts to wear.

Friday Sept 1st, Rick Hatfield will play from 6 to 8 pm. Hold on to your hat. I guess he gets that all the time.




On Friday, Sept 8th, Chill House will be at the Cafe from 6 - 8 pm. So this is your best shot for getting all CHILL. Hot music that makes for a cool evening.



Saturday Sept 16th, The Ed will play from 6 to 8 pm. Yes, the Ed. Or that Ed. You know. Ed.

And the rules are that you can expect a thunderstorm and afternoon of the week. But every New Mexican knows rain is good, so don't let it ruin your day. Come inside the Cafe where everything is dry but the beer!

And the best way to cool off is in the shade of the Placitas Cafe with an ice cold beverage of your choice. Inside is pretty chill as well, with the best entertainment in town.
